Puzzle Pieces: the Merry Romper

Puzzle Pieces: the Merry Romper

A couple of weeks ago we kicked off our Puzzle Pieces series with a combination of the Ring Around the Rosie Romper and the Flying Fox Dungarees to create a fun and frilly pair of overalls. This week we're back with another great mash up - the Merry Romper! This outfit combines the Merry Go Round pattern bodice and large collar with the Ring Around the Rosie high bloomers for an all new take on the patterns, perfect for parties or playgrounds!  I fell so in love with this version - but one of the best parts of the whole...

the 52 project - Week 6

This week my oldest babe turned six. Her big day we always celebrate at her grandparents pool with the pool area intricately decorated by her party loving mama, the snacks made with love by her delicious daddy and a special cake baked by her Grandmother, Auntie or a dear friend. All of that surrounded by beloved friends and family swimming, eating, drinking and laughing and celebrating with joy of the day that tiny ginger ball of fire rolled into our lives. This year was a bit different, we planned on being away on our adventure already so I booked a party...

Inês Dressing Gown - Suco by Susana

A couple of days ago a friend and fellow designer Susana of Suco by Susana released her latest pattern - the Inês Dressing Gown. I was lucky enough to be one of the testers for this gorgeous design. A few weeks before she released the testing call my daughter was squeezing into her beloved old dressing gown and I was thinking it was time for another - luckily Susana saved the day. This gown has the perfect amount of ease for movement while still holding a stylish shape and an adorable Peter Pan collar.  I came across this delicious fleece at Spotlight on sale and...

the 52 project - Week 4 & 5

These hot Aussie summer days and our still slowly being built home on wheels have found us at the beach with friends and luckily housesitting in a well air conditioned house. The caravan has had a fresh lick of paint on the exterior and it has been like a facelift for it's 40 something year old self. The build has taken a bit longer than anticipated so for now we sit in limbo and (hopefully!) in the next few weeks we'll head off into the sunset for adventure in our very own tiny home. Until then we'll try and soak...

the 52 project - Week 2 & 3

This week is a catch up. We have been on the move - but not the kind we expected to be. The build has taken a bit longer than expected so our little caravan is parked at our beloved friends as we house sit and couch sit and move all of our clothing and the things meant to be in the caravan around. Our life and belongings are strewn between loved ones houses and the floor of our 4 wheel drive. We are moving between suburbs and having movie nights on our wonderful friends couches while they are away and sampling...
