I have been sewing for tiny girls for the past 8 years so when my little man came along last year I was excited to switch things up a bit and start sewing for him. This Aviator Hat - which couldn't be more perfect, from the designer Made By Jack's Mum - was such a fun choice for my Jack. I had so much fun with this one and it comes in sizes newborn to adult, so I do see a matching one for mama in the near future. Gotta get in those matching outfits while I can - and so I have a few embarrassing photos to display at his 21st ;)
I used the beautiful wool I had leftover from Lottie's City Lights Cape and an acrylic I got at The Fabric Stores half price sale. I wish I would have grabbed more of that honestly, because I see one of these in the future for all my munchkins. it may be a bit overkill for Australia but there's a good couple of Melbourne winter months we can get away with rocking these.
This was such a quick and satisfying sew, I used my overlocker on almost the entire thing - although a regular sewing machine would have worked great as well. I made the whole thing in about an hour from start to finish.
This gorgeous pattern - as well as 19 others are available in the project run and play shop and on sale until today for 20% off!
