Puzzle Australian Fabric Tour:
The Mulberry Tree

Aimee Randle

As my sewing studio has now gone mobile I thought it would be fun to do a Puzzle Fabric tour of all the great fabric stores I find along my travels. We spent a lovely Easter week camping in the Showgrounds of Milton, a little town just next to Ulladulla in New South Wales. The town of Milton was tiny, hip and friendly with only a couple of main streets that were packed with lovely cafes, restaurants, boutique shops and luckily for me this amazing fabric shop!
There were shelves packed with the most gorgeous prints and notions and I spent a great deal of time in this tiny gem trying to decide the perfect fabric for my next project. Since space is tight, fabric hoarding is being kept to a minimum and only a small bag of fabrics that I know will turn into garments in the near future is allowed.
(well thats the rule so far, this trip has only just begun ;))
Liberty, Anna Marie Horner, Amy Butler and Moda fabrics just to name a few. Plus a load of patterns, notions and so much wool! As I was leaving they were laying out yummy food and preparing for their weekly knitting gathering - snacks, socialising and knitting! It made me wish I lived closer, rather than just passing by.
The owners were gorgeous and welcoming and made this beautiful little space even brighter to visit. if you are around the southern NSW coast definitely drop in and have a look and a chat!
