Little Sewing School
We're starting a new project over here at Puzzle Patterns that I'm really excited about! We're launching a sewing school for the little ones in your life! A step by step course you can follow along and teach your babe how to join in on one of your favourite hobbies, creating great memories and teaching lifelong skills. We'll start off with teaching the basics, getting your little comfortable with the machine, teaching them how to sew a stitch and how the functions work. From there we will have a weekly sewing project we'll walk you through with pictures and tutorials. My...
Puzzle Patterns - Merry Go Round & Flying Fox
As you may know, Puzzle Patterns are designed to be interchangeable - like puzzles. At the end of each pattern is a few pages of instructions that walk you through the steps to mash up patterns to make new designs. This is a fun way to be the designer yourself - BUT I thought it would be more exciting if I walked you through it in blog posts with lots of visuals and more detailed instructions. So here you have it, our first Puzzle Patterns series and in our debut we will be mashing up the Flying Fox dungaree pattern...
Back to School Blog Tour - Odeline Dress.
It's back to school time in the Northern Hemisphere and all the cute outfits and adorable first day of school photo shoots are taking over my Instagram and Facebook feeds. I love it, it reminds me of growing up in the States, posing in my fresh new school clothes in front of the house I grew up in. The smells of summer and freshly cut grass infiltrating my senses while my mom takes an embarassingly long time to take a photo of me standing next to my little sister, smiles plastered to our little faces. You better believe I'm doing...
Project Run and Play - Week One. Laneways and Babyccinos.
This season I am honoured to be a part of Project Run and Plays first stop on their round the world tour, along with a group of talented and lovely designers from Down Under. I had a lot of fun putting my outfit together for the first challenge "Patriotic Parade" where I got to portray the city I call home - Melbourne. Melbourne is city known for cafes and laneways, artists and artistic expression. I took all that into consideration when designing this look for my own aspiring Artiste. I found this amazing fabric a few weeks back and it had...
Circus Performer!
The finale in our Halloween series is none other than a Circus performer! I guess you could say I saved my favourite for last. After we dabbled in gymnastics, ballet and mixed dance classes we finally found the perfect match for Lottie - Circus classes! It's the perfect extracurricular and she has a crazy talent for the hula not to mention her wild flair for the dramatic so it has been a match made in heaven. To be honest, in class they wear leggings and t-shirts - comfort clothes for movement - but at the end of the year they...
